The Sled III combines the best of the
Sled II (moisture measurement for belt conveyors) with a
height sensing sled for Flow Tools.
Flow Tools is a new Samuel Jackson
product that automatically adjusts the module feeder
speed based on several system inputs including: a
ginner-defined set point, Flow Analyzers, cotton height
switches in the live overflow and a height sensing sled
(Sled III). The Sled III is critical for successful Flow
Tools operation as it continually makes small
adjustments to the module feeder speed based on the
current height and historical trends of cotton entering
the gin. The Sled III also acts a gatekeeper immediately
alerting Flow Tools when approaching surges of cotton
are about to enter the gin. Based on the size of the
surge and the Flow Tools settings, the bed will slow
down or even stop allowing the surge of cotton to safely
pass through the system. |
