The Collider
Drying System is found in the fastest and most profitable gins in
the world. It uses
principles pioneered by our company during the initial development
of the Fountain Dryer, a predecessor to the Collider. These
principles include the use of a "skimmer" to maximize the hot air to
seed cotton ratio and pull-through techniques that eliminate the
need for push fans.
The Collider maximizes the drying potential of
the hot air in the system by introducing multiple collisions with
the seed cotton and providing many turbulent points of interaction.
The increase in efficient use of the hot air lets a gin find their
preferred balance between an increase in flow rate (bales produced
per week) and lower drying temperatures for improved fiber
qualities. This is a nice choice not available with drying systems
less powerful.
