We are a small family company
located on the high plains of Texas. At this location in the
middle of the "largest cotton patch in the world", we
perform our research and development work with cotton fiber
moisture devices. Some of our people started here in the
1960's and remain with us today. Several others have been
here 10-20 years. Working with a good team can be
habit-forming.
Much of the fabrication and
forming, and all of the design, electrical wiring, control
code, electronics design, assembly, testing, and shipping
are done "in house". As you might imagine, with only 16
employees spread over a 60,000 square foot building complex,
each of us wears many hats and the job is never boring.
We do a good bit of work around
the world and we will happily handle your inquiries in
Spanish or French if English is a problem.
A Brief
History
Samuel Bartlett Jackson (S.B.) was a pioneer in the 20th
century cotton industry. He invented the first acid
delinting process for cotton seed, paving the way for the
sophisticated seed treatment and automated planting
practices in use today. Among his other accomplishments, he
recognized the need for a safe method of applying moisture
to cotton fiber in the form of a liquid spray, the only
method of moisturizing dry cotton in his era. He developed a
surfactant that is still used for specialized purposes today
under the trade name "Moyst." Following World War II,
multiple companies were formed to further develop some of
the methods he discovered.
His son, Samuel George Jackson (Sam) pursued moisture restoration
challenges to cotton fiber. Beginning with Moyst, he later
developed (in 1957) the first moist air generator for cotton
gins. Sam did much of the pioneering work for our company in
choosing its present location, guiding its product line, and
initiating the development of its present team approach to
meeting challenges.
Samuel Christopher Jackson (Chris) is the third
generation involved with cotton moisture in the family.
Since 1991, he has managed the day-to-day affairs of the
company as its president, and continues in that role today.
Chris loves to associate with good people. Between the
Samuel Jackson Team, its customers, and its suppliers, he is
working with the best! Chris spends the majority of his time
contacting customers through gin visits, phone calls, and
e-mail. . It is best to reach him by phone at
